A unique object for the scholar’s table made of hardwood root, partly sculptured in the shape of two peaches attached to a branch with two leaves. The peach have a strong symbolic meaning in Chinese culture, it is a symbol of longevity and immortality; it is said that the peach tree grows in the orchard of Xiwangmu, The Queen Mother of the West.
