A very charming, pewter tea pot with yixing-clay core (zisha) in the shape of a ruyi head/stylized cloud pattern with handle and sprout in  a light, greenish jade. One side decorated with incised chrysanthemum, the other with a poetic inscription including a wish for long life. In the inside yixing core, a fainted seal stamp looks like the maker's = Wei. Qing, mid 19th century, around 1850. H 8 cm, L 16.5 cm. Condition: Quite good, but with some denting and scratches befitting a utilitarian object of this kind.Fine airline in the inside/top side corner. No breaks or cracks to jade mounts. Pours really well.
