Interesting and very artistic vase in semi-organic shape of modern Bizen ware by the leading artist Isesaki Sou.* The form made of a pair of overlapping and merging planes with a convoluted opening. Front side has greyish areas w. traces of beige. Signed in the bottom with the artist’s mark. Original kiri-box together w. documentation of the piece. H 23 cm, W 18 cm. Condition: Perfect. * Isesaki Sou (b. 1968). Started his education in Okayama College of Fine Arts in 1991. Exhibited his works there the following year. Modern and unusual forms to his pieces, the best of which are sculpted vases. Numerous exhibitions since 1998 including a number of prizes. Lives and works in Bizen, Okayama where he has his own studio.
