Fine gilt bronze image depicting Vajradhara DORJECHANG

Fine votive image of gilt bronze depicting Vajradhara (Dorjechang). The image has been done in a slightly compressed style w. broad face and a tiara with the top knot ending in a vajra.The Buddha holds the vajra and bell crossed in front of his chest in the characteristic attitude. Bands of pearls cover the upper body as well as the dhoti. Some of the original semi-precious stones still remain. Unsealed. Tibet, 16th cent. H 14,9 cm. Condition: Good w. some wear and rubbing to gilt surface due to age (on back side particularly).
