| Finely carved image of Guanyin as a young woman with a flower basket accompanied by a mythological lion. Made of honey-coloured horn of water buffalo. Seal in bottom reads: “Da Ming Wanli.” However, images of this type were chiefly made in South China during the 18-19th centuries. Qing, 19th cent. Sealed w. original, carved stand of rosewood. H 41,5 cm (without base). Very fine condition. | ||||||||||
