This is an unusual rendition of the God of Longevity, shown in an unusual setting with a tree and children, which is actually a water dropper. Shoulao dates to the late 19th, or early 20th century.
The Chinese Export figurine is well painted, and pleasing. The form is rare and unusual. A fine addition for your collection of Famille Rose, Chinese export or water droppers. Signed on Base. SAMSON porcelain is one of my favorite things to collect. I am pleased to offer this delightful large and unusual box in the form of stacked books.
This is very typical of the Armorial works of Samson of Paris, made to imitate Chinese Export. Many collectors believe Samson did better copies than the originals.
The box and gilt rim is all intact and the polychrome details are sharp, highlighted by the embossed raised details so familiar to Samson.
I can not tell you if the box is signed as the bottom is covered with old green felt. However, I can tell you that Samson prices are skyrocketing as pieces are grabbed up by collectors! This box is very special.

CHINESE EXPORT pair of matched famille rose attired husband and wife figurines. This pair is charming, well painted and a delightful size, with the male figure a little larger than the female.
The painted details are very fine on this couple, and they come with matched original stands in rosewood. Impressed China mark on bases. The figurines are late Guangxu to 1912

19th century FAMILLE ROSE deep charger with three bold cockerels, one in a fruiting peach tree, the others in the garden among multi-colored flowers in a garden. Enamels are especially nice and the impressive size is hard to find in a deep plate of this caliber. Reverse has detailed iron red floral scrolls.

Here is a two tier FAMILLE ROSE set of covered food service bowls. Very nice floral enamels in Famille Rose palette. Tooled metal finding on blue lid. An attractive and unusual display item which dates to lateate Qing Dynasty.

An exceptional matched pair of QING DYNASTY signed Foo Dogs, or Foo Lions. The figurines vary in size, the male larger, and are of course hand potted, signed on the interior of base with an impressed Kangxi mark.

Here is a hard to find pair of tall 19th century Rose Mandarin Vases. The large 11 3/4" vases have well painted famille rose details, and indentions on rims. The vases are highlighted by foo dog handles, applied lizard scrolls. Vases are in very fine condition, with normal wear for the period. There is one minor under rim chip, minor glaze losses.
