Massive and unique original DEMETRE H CHIPARUS verdigris bronze seated nude sculpture. Originally foundried in Paris circa 1925-1930's by Romanian sculptor, DEMETRE H. CHIPARUS.
This bronze personifies the geometric precision and balance which is unique to the ART DECO movement, strongly influenced by Chiparus.
The original sculpture is 19" (48 1/2 cm) in length on the base measurement. Height is 17 1/2" (44 1/2cm)from top of her head to base. The nude figure is poised, sophisticated, and timeless.
This is a rare offering of an ART DECO masterpiece, Not an excuse for a rediculously overpriced knockoff. There are no repairs, or damage. Interior shows remains of castings, etc. A small (1/4 inch) hairline foundry crack is on the back of the neck of the sculpture. Otherwise, mint condition.

Exceptional Qianlong CLOISONNE AND BRONZE brazier or heater,in Imperial Yellow, most likely provincial made, Very finely worked bronze dragons and ornamental bronze details (vents, legs and tooling) highlight the incredible cloisonne Bears Qianlong sealmarks.

The interior shows much use, and overall condition of the brazier is excellent, with only minor chips to enamel, and wear to be expected in a work of this age.

Magnificent erotic Loie has carved flowers in her up swept hair, ivory bracelets on her wrists, sensuous gold dore bronze drape (Loie was famous for this drape) with splendid Art Nouveau grace. A lovely bared breast, and slender legs and arms, accentuate the dancing figure, with her leg raised in anticipation of the next movement.
Loie is standing on a detailed bronze base with colored flowers at her feet, a gilt torch adjacent to rock work offsets the sculpture. The sculpture is mounted on rich black marble, with a deeply incised cut and fine form. Signed, on the lower right bronze base, "GORY"

I do not know how old this bronze is. I believe it dates to the 1950's.
An truly stunning original BRONZE WALL SCONCE with incredibly fine sculptural detail of a WINGED NUDE SEA GODDESS. The lamp or sconce is French, late 19th century. The sconce is signed on the mid right side body of the figure by maker in a diamond. Lamp is wired, and has original frosted glass shade. I do not know if it works as wiring is European, but rewiring will be easy. The sconce has been cleaned since the first two photos.

AUGUST MOREAU figural COUNTRY FRENCH PEASANT LAMPS. The LAMPS have a French label of authenticity on bases, signed Paris. Moreau was a prominent French sculptor (1834-1917) who worked in Marble and bronze. The charming country couple has baskets ready (grapes inside) to sell. The female figurine is shown with a plow, her companion with a rake. The lamps are enamel over metal, cold painted bronze or heavy spelter, in soft pastels dating to the 1920's.
A wonderful country French accent.
