A rare and elegant FAIENCE round box (MAJOLICA) with barbotine Figurals, this box is Museum Quality and probably dates to late 17th Century France. Inscribed in Latin around the rim, peasants circling the box,Fleur de Lis motif as well all in relief. It is believed that this may have been a commerative gift to guests at an important wedding.

Here is a unique lamp and shade in the French manner of Louis the XIV. The lamp and shade are porcelain, and the reticulate shade gives off the most intriguing and romantic glow.

Fine soft paste or faience with individual hand applied meandering vines, grapes, leaves and a pair of doves, the grapes and rims accented by fine gilt.

Here is an elegant pair of SAMSON BALUSTER VASES and LIDS with Foo dog finials, France 19th Century, which are about 6 1/2" tall.
The vases are fine quality SAMSON French porcelain, with brilliant painted details and gilt accents. EDME "ESME" SAMSON is best known for her Chinoisere porcelains, made to compete with the Chinese Export market. Condition: Excellent, on one of the vases. The second vase has damage to the interior lip which can be restored, and does not show on display. See photos.
The damaged vase has two small rim chips on the edge of lip rim, and a portion of the upper rim of the vase neck is missing. It is worthwhile restoring this vase as a pair such as this a rare find.
