Late 17th Century, or Early 18th Continental Oil, of a beautiful Rubenesque woman wearing rich sumptuous garments, her fair hair peeking out from under her turban. She is reading with full attention to her book. The lovely woman is dressed in a rich low cut gown accented by a large necklace which falls between her generous cleavage.

The painting, an oil on board has all the attributes of a Flemish, or Dutch masterpiece of the late 17th, early 18th century in the manner of Peter Paul Rubens.

I do not see a signature on the painting which is on an oval 7x5.75 Inch hand chamfered board. Undoubtedly worthy of a museum. The original hand carved frame is of the period and bears similar characteristics to frames from the Low Countries and Spain.

Condition is very good. There is craquelature and some scratching well preserved under the original varnish. There is a small scratch lower right edge of board.

An exceptionally matched MIRROR IMAGE PAIR of 18th century, or late 17th century hand painted KANGXI CHINESE BLUE AND WHITE covered jars. The jars vary a bit in height and diameter, and are a simply magnificent statement of 18th century Chinese porcelain.

French School, elegant Courtier and Her Dog. This loving portrait is late 18th,early 19th century, oil on canvas in a period gesso frame. The adoring turbaned madame holds her treasured chien.

Rare and Stunning mirror image monochrome pair of IMPERIAL YELLOW VASES with Famille rose florals, early 19th century CHINESE. Converted to lamps, circa 1920. The lamps are as originally wired, complete with harps. All findings are good quality early brass.
The painted pink peony florals and emerald leaves have great detail,and accented with floral scrolling sgraffito orange peel groud. Brass bases are ornate with polished openwork.
I have taken the vases apart, the interios are robins egg blue. The vases are Qing Dynasty,mid 19th century, GUANGXU period.

Covered porcelain jar, ormolou mounts 19th century. Very pleasing and attractive display centerpiece in soft beige, with handpainted flowers. Bears numbers in the lid and on base. Most likely this is French, late 19th century. A very pleasing piece.

Albert Baure Benezit listed artist (1867-1930) a French impressionist oil on canvas, a French Riviera village seaside street with a few villagers relaxing on the cliff above the sea peeking out from the left. Baure is Benezit listed, noted for his his village and landscape paintings. The last photo shows the Benezit memo.

ALEXANDER DZIGURSKI AMERICAN ARTIST, 1911-1995 original oil on canvas. Painted early in the artists career while living in Italy, a fine rendition of the Grand Canal. This is a rare offering, as the majority of this California artists work is California related.

Alexander Dzigurski, who is known for his seascapes, landscapes, and some portraiture, is associated with the art of California, although he was born in the farming community of Backa, located in Stari Becej, then part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. His extensive US travel can be seen in his works from the Smokies, the Grand Tetons, Mt. Shasta, the Rockies, Glacier National Park, New England, and other coastal areas. American Folk Art Horse, hide covered leather TOY HORSE,1900, complete with glass eyes and fine English saddlery. The horse is made entirely of leather including ears and tail, probably over a papier mache body. The saddle and bridle are fitted with hand made metal stirrups, and nails, hand stitched. The horse has an especially stylish dished head and carriage, large eyes, ready to trot on.

Horse was purchased in Virginia.
