Ceramic (porcelain) French BIRDCAGE, delicately painted with rose colored florals complete with decorative red and green bird on wooden perch , circa 1880, probably a Paris porcelain. No makers marks which I can locate. Extremely rare and delightful figural porcelain, details painted even on underside of cage. Cage can be hung,or stand on the porcelain feet. Brass bars,lock and findings. A sensational decorative antique treasure from France. Dimensions: 10 Inches Height, plus 2 Inches for top brass ring 19 Inches Circumference 6 Inches Width . Condition: Excellent. No hairlines,chips or repairs There is no damage. Tiny firing crack in surface by ring. Top ring has a bolt which can be adjusted from the inside. |
