Quaint child's pearlware motto plate with embossed rim, blue transfer print of boys at work chopping down trees, hauling water from the well and digging in the garden. Polychrome and pink lustre overglaze decoration: "Handle your tools without mittens: remember the cat in gloves catches no mice.
