A good quality Kakiemon type export plate decorated with a pair of Hoo birds on a rock with flowering bushes. The rim of the dish decorated with a “Birdes in Branches” arabesque with a rather crudely painted Chrysanthemum blooms with birds both sitting and with wings out-stretched. A very large Chinese porcelain wucai enameled ewer or wine pot of compressed ovoid form with cover decorated with an overall brocade pattern composed of hexagonal cells each containing an enamelled four petal flower inset with two large reserves containing respectively Camelias and Rocks, and Flowering Plum and Rocks. The body of the ewer is comparatively thinly potted, and the handle and spout are simply luted to the body with slip. The ewer was made for the Japanese market...

A Japanese Imari chocolate cup, cover and saucer made for export to the European market dating to the early 18th century. Decorated with a rich Imari style ground of stylised palmate leaves and Peony blooms inset with ogee form reserves with Chinese style estuarine landscapes. The cover has been broken but has been cleanly re-stuck creating an almost invisible repair...

A pair of Imari tea bowls and saucers made for export to Europe decorated with a pattern of Hydrangea plants framed by a reserves bordered with brocade drapery tied with ribbons. The tea bowls are in good condition with no cracks, chips or restoration. They measure approximately 7.3 cm in diameter and are 4.2 cm in height. A small Hirado porcelain koro with reticulated kagome basket weave panels, salamander form handles, and small scroll feet. Decorated in underglaze blue with floral scrolls and auspicious clouds set against pink and turquoise enamel grounds inset with chrysanthemum motifs enriched with gilding. A rare pair of miniature vases of hexagonal baluster form vases with the elegant proportions typical of the early eighteenth century c.1700-1720. Each vertical compartment decorated with flowers, chrysanthemums, pinkes and peonies. These belong to a class of porcelain that can be best described as toyes, small novelty collectables. A large Korean celadon glazed stoneware bowl with incised decoration of a pair of stylised birds, presumably Pheonixes or possibly Cranes. The bowl dates to the late 11th or the 12th century. The bowl measures 8 inches in diameter and stands 2.5 inches high at the rim. There is one extremely fine hairline crack to the rim that is scarcely visible to to the naked eye.
