A substantial well cast and elegantly proportioned Chinese bronze vase of elongated flattened pear shape with ring handles issuing from the mouths of a pair of horned beasts. A very interesting tray of square form decorated in moulded low relief with a long inscription that contains the date for the seventh year, first month and fifteenth day of the Xuande reign. The reverse of the tray is cast with four ruyi shaped feet and a pair of cast dragons encircling the characters nei yung. The dish shows extensive wear to the patina and surface, as well as several casting flaws and a small hole to the right hand bottom corner of the dish...

A rare cast iron beaker Gu shaped vase with Halberd ji form handles. The shape form and decoration of the vase are all characteristic of the late Ming period. Ji form handles adapted from the cresent moon shaped cutting blade of the traditional Chinese Halberd occur from the latter half of the sixteenth century on both porcelain and bronze vases. A good, probably early 19C, Chinese Bronze rhomboid form censer on four short legs, the body decorated with two panels of Chinese Archaic inscriptions, repeated to occupy the four panels making up the censer. The bronze censer stands 7.5cm in height and is 9cm in breadth. Condition good, nice old patina combined with expected wear. Shipping at Cost.
