A late 18th century Qianlong Dehua "Blanc de Chine" censer; the compressed rounded body raised on a tripod brace of three curved short legs and covered in a cool translucent milky white glaze. The shoulders curve in to a straight galleried rim at the mouth, flanked by two ruyi-shaped handles. A circular indentation centered on the base. The exterior is glazed except for the very tip of the feet; the interior is not totally glazed, revealing the fine white biscuit. The translucency of the body is highlighted in the last photos.
