A pair of Japanese export Imari teabowls and saucers decorated in a combination of under-glaze blue, gilding and iron red. Both saucers decorated with a pattern of Hares running on waves. One tea bowl decorated with same pattern, the other with a Bird in flight and a jetty with Aoi, but utilising the same under-glaze blue elements of the previous design. The tea bowls are in excellent condition, however there is some wear to the gilding of the saucer dishes; one saucer has some minor chips to the foot-ring. The saucers measure just under 4 inches 10cm in diameter and the tea-bowls measure 2.1 inches or 5.3cm in diameter. Shipping at Cost
