A scalloped form plate decorated with a series of auspicious motifs. A Ginko leaf arabesque ground in underglaze blue inset with three hexalobed reserves containing Karashishi, Chinese lions, each gripping a cash, shippo, tied with gilt ribbon, and a central motif of a shochikubai, the three friends of winter, within a border of scrolling waves. The reverse painted with a Lotus, karakusa, arabesque, and a six character mark for the Emperor Chenghua. The dish dates to the Horeki era circa 1740-60.The dish is in good condition with no cracks, chips or restoration and measures 19.3cm in diameter and 2.3cm high at the rim . Shipping at Cost.
