An unusual large Imari export bowl decorated in Kenjo style with Lotus form panels set against an unusual blue ground gilded with a diaper and Chrysanthemum pattern. Each panel painted with scrolling gilt arabesques set against an iron red and a seeded green ground with a large Lotus motif in underglaze blue. A band of partially enamelled and underglaze blue stylised Prunus vine to the top rim and a similar band of stylised trailing cherry blossom to the base. The foot-ring decorated with an underglaze blue silkworm scroll. The top lip of the slightly everted rim painted with a diaper pattern with inset chrysanthemum mons. The base of the interior containing a Peony motif framed by a band of trailing Cherry blossom. Within the foot-rim is a rather unusual ring of delicately painted Cherry blossom. The bowl measures 21.5cm in diameter and is 9.7cm in height. The bowl is in good condition with no cracks, chips or restoration. Dating circa 1700-30. Shipping at Cost.
