An exceptionally fine rice bowl and cover decorated with an aka-e kinrande design of various diaper patterns set against elaborate reserves in cobalt blue inset with flowers of precious appearance, hosoge-mon. To the base a stylised lotus border in cobalt blue. The interior of the bowl and underside of the cover decorated with a diaper border and stylised lotus mon. This design is adapted from Kinrande Chinese porcelain of the 16th century made for the Japanese market. The bowl is 11.7cm in diameter, 4.625 ins, and stands without its cover 5.7cm or approximately 2.5ins. The condition of the bowl is good, no damages, cracks, chips or restoration, a tiny amount of kiln dust adhering to the interior of the bowl. Shipping at Cost. £120
