An unusual set of three Persian silver salts or salt cellars cast in the form of a long tailed bird with punched and incised decoration. The heads screwed to the body of the bird. Some variation in the design of the three. One of the group stamped with three marks in Farsi, probably indicating the names of the Silversmith, City and fineness of the Silver, 840. They are in good condition and measure approximately 6.5cm in length from the tip of the beak to the end of the tail and sit 3cm high to the top of the head. The total weight of the three is 143gm. Shipping at Cost.
