The patterns showing a striking similarity to that used for VOC orders produced at the Hikeoba and Sarugawa kilns. For am armorial example with the same border pattern see no 291 “Fine and Curious” dated to the marriage of the Francois De vicq and Alleta Pancras (1677), or possibly ordered during their life time, Francois died in 1707. The dish has a plain undecorated reverse. The plates are in good condition with no chips or restoration, except for one which has a hairline crack from the rim (see image no 4) both have the usual kiln flaws to be expected of early Arita. They measure approximately 22cm in diameter. UK shipping included in sterling £ (GBP) price, international shipping included in the US $ (USD) price.
