A small Hirado porcelain koro with reticulated kagome basket weave panels, salamander form handles, and small scroll feet. Decorated in underglaze blue with floral scrolls and auspicious clouds set against pink and turquoise enamel grounds inset with chrysanthemum motifs enriched with gilding. Dating probably to the late Meji era circa 1880-1910. The koro and cover are in excellent condition with no chaps, chips or restoration. It stands approximately 9.5cm high and approximately 10.5cm wide including its handles. Shipping within the UK included in the GB sterling price. Worldwide shipping included in the USD price.
