An Imari barber surgeon’s bleeding bowl of conventional round form decorated with brocade lapets with Peony flowers and Wisteria vine. The centre enamelled with a green an aubergine circle with moths and leaves covering an unglazed stacking ring. The reverse decorated with iron red prunus branches. A pair of holes to the rim to enable suspension. The bowl measures 25,5cm in diameter and stands 7cm high to the rim the footring measures 11cm in diameter. The bowl is in good overall condition no cracks, chips or restoration some wear to the enamels commensurate with its age and use. Additional images on request.
