An Arita Kraak style plate, c. 1700. About 8.27" (21cm) x 1.18" (3cm) and in near perfect condition with just one tiny, shallow (2mm x 2mm) frit to the rim (see our last image). The cavetto is decorated with underglaze blue geese, two descending, two others standing near a small pond, the rim with alternating panels of sacred symbols and sunflowers, as in Chinese Kraak. The under side of the rim is decorated with meandering vines and leaves. Faux chatter marks and four spurs may be seen on the base. No chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs.
