Description:
Be Sure to See Our Impressive Collection of Taxco, Danish, Arts and Crafts and Other Vintage Silver Jewelry!
Rare, vintage 1940's cuff bracelet by master silversmith Artemio Navarrete. William Spratling hired Navarrete to help launch his Taller de las Delicias in 1931, and to help train later smiths. Many of Artemio's designs carry the early Spratling marks. Some carry his own mark. This hand-made 980 grade silver (higher than sterling) cuff bracelet measures about 7 inches long, including the 1 inch opening. It is about 1 inch wide. It has simple motif similar to many of Spratling's early pieces, uses somewhat thin silver stock, but is very well made and in fine vintage condition. Made circa 1930-40's, it is marked Taxco, with the well-documented conjoined AN in a circle mark, and 980. |
