Rare and important vintage VICTORIA (Ana Maria Nunez de Brilanti) sterling necklace and bracelet set. Hand-made circa 1950's-60's.
Ana opened her workshop near Los Castillo and was assisted during her first year of building her taller by Margot, the other most famous woman maestro of the time. Ana spoke of Margot's passion and artistry. That relationship had a noted influence on her Victoria designs.
Complex intertwining solid thru lined Celtic bands pattern, set in curved open dome links. The detail and finish is fantastic. Marked Victoria Mexico Taxco Sterling, 62, with government assay eagle #12.
The choker style necklace is about 15-1/3 closed length x a whopping 1-3/4 inches wide in front tapering to 1 1/8 in the rear. The bracelet is about 7-1/8 closed x 1-1/2 inches wide in front tapering to 1-1/8 in the rear. Both have push clasps, and a safety chain on the bracelet.
This is really an amazing set that even individually is very rarely seen.
