Large, very early sterling link bracelet. Made in Taxco, Mexico circa 1920-30's by Artermio Navarrete, before he was hired by William Spratling to help launch is Taller de las Delicias in 1931. Measures 8 1/8 x 7/8 x 1/8 thick.
This will fit a large wrist. Each of the 7 links is about 1 inch, so one can be removed to fit a medium wrist. Heavy weight. Old style pin closure. Marked 980, TAXCO, conjoined AN in impressed circle. Navarrete trained many of Spratling's earliest silver smiths, and was responsible for several of his early designs.
