Extremely rare, vintage Hubert Harmon STERLING necklace and earring set. Made circa 1940’s. Museum quality. Don't miss this opportunity. You may not see another come to market for many years.
The set has round black onyx cabochons, each bezel set in floral silver links. The necklace measures about 16 inches long x 1 1/4 wide. The matching clip back earrings measure 1 3/8 x 1 inches. The set is in excellent vintage condition, free of dents or dings. All pieces genuinely marked Sterling, Hubert Harmon, Made in Mexico.
The “Mexican Silver” book by Morrill and Berk, states that "it is nearly impossible to find jewelry designed by Harmon. All of his work is desirable and unique". How true, and let us add that finding his "sterling" jewelry is even more impossible to find than his brass pieces.
When you think of the number of rare Aguilar, Pineda and Spratling stone/sterling necklaces you've seen versus the number of Harmon sterling silver pieces, then you will understand why this is so extremely rare.
