Very nice, vintage Salvador Teran tiled tea caddy box is perfect to store your finest darjeeling. Created circa 1970's in Taxco, Mexico this lovely box is made of hand-cut beige and brown speckled tiles. Masterfully inlaid around a raised brass abstract design on the top and two sides. Appears to be a laquered or enameled interior. Nice aged patina to the brass. Slight 1/4 inch dimple on the inside edge can be seen in one photo. It is hidden under the cover and does not show or affect anything. The caddy measures about 4 1/4" tall x 3 wide x 2 1/4 deep. Marked on the bottom Salvador, Hencho en Mexico, Handwrought, 424.
