Classic Bent Knudsen modernistic necklace with original leather fitted felt and satin lined case. Made circa 1950-60's in Denmark. Heavy weight, super clean lines, understated elegance, excellent workmanship and finish as you would expect. Very nice weight at 70 g. The necklace measures approximately 15 x 1/2 inches and is 3/32 thick. Curved plough shaped links make it a bit difficult to measure. Marked "(C) STERLING, DENMARK, BENT K, 2," and then some tiny, tiny import marks.. The case is marked "Tassanary-Rometino, Bijouterie, Antibes. Knudsen worked with Hans Hansen, C.M. Cohr and others before opening his shop in the mid 50's. Retailed by both Tiffany and Georg Jensen. |
