A stunning Sterling Silver Belt by Carmen Beckmann - One of Mexico's very important female silver designers. Worked in the Colonial town of San Miguel de Allende, Mexico where her shop was active in the 60's & 70's. Beckmann pieces are of the highest quality and have become rare collector items. This is a rare repousse belt from the 60's. Marked Bekmann Sterling, Mexico. Signed at clasp, which works perfectly. Measures total of 41 x 1.5 inches & weighs 140g (4.9 oz). All pieces are hollow making it not too heavy to wear. this belt could be worn as a hip or waist belt. Minor denting to about one third of the hollow domed links. |
