This little watercolor is typical of the early 19th to mid 19th of children. This little boy is standing in the backyard with a whip. He is wearing a blue dress trimmed in black. He is adorned with white pantaloons, white stockings and black shoes with a strap. The background is of a dirt path leading onto the back lawn. He has a sweet face with rosy cheeks and blue eyes. He is housed in a grain painted frame with old square nails and a wooden backing. The painting (including frame) measures 7 1/4" x 6 1/2".
