Henri-Gabriel Ibels is (along with Maurice Denis, Pierre Bonnard, Paul Sérusier or Edouard Vuillard) one of the founders of the Nabi post impressionist movement.

His works are exhibited at the Musée du Louvre, Musée d’Orsay or Musée Carnavalet in Paris, and also at the Metropolitan Museum of Art (New York), Van Gogh Museum (Amsterdam), Woorhees Zimmerli Art Museum (New Brunswick), Fine Arts Museum of San Francisco...
