A Kangxi period celadon jar with 3 underglaze blue and red persimmons. The fruit slightly in relief. Symbolizes abundance. The mouth and footrims unglazed, crackle lines in the glaze, and no mark.

A fine pair of antique rose medallion vases with applied foo dogs and gekkos at the shoulders. The rims are scalloped. Matching courtyard scenes with numerous figures on the body as well as the large neck. Alternating panels of florals, birds, insects, butterflies and fruits. The hand painted details are very fine. No marks whatsoever on the bottom, a little sand from the kiln. Dates from 1870-1890s.

About 17.5' high and 8" diameter at the shoulder...

Another beautiful circa 1850 antique China Trade fan which shows a large gathering of numerous little figures on both sides. Faces of the figures are of ivory, and in this fan, there are many individual expressions.

There are (14) inner and (2) outer guard sticks carved from sandalwood and done in extra deep relief to the guards while the inner sticks are treated in a more shallow relief. The folded fan goes in a fitted lacquered wooden box...

Set of 18-19th century Chinese export famille rose armorial dishes in a nest of 3. Each bears the golden coat of arms of the East India Company with the pair of cute facing lions. Nice orange peel effect on fine quality porcelain.

The East India Company was established in 1600 as a monopoly company by act of Parliament. It was the earliest incorporated companies in the world and at one time it consituted 40% of world trade. It's monopoly was dissolved in 1873...

A fine and large Chinese export blue and white canton platter circa 1830 out of a fine New Bedford estate together with a few other old export items. Good orange peel effect, medium blue, beautiful!

14.6" by 11.6" in very good condition with no chips hairlines or repairs. Only a few rim frits and tiny chip under the rim hardly noticeable but signs of good age (see detail pic).

A fun 19th century Chinese export tazza or stem bowl with the 1000 butterflies design. Nice thick enamel with highlights on the bottom and a band on the stem. Circa 1880. From an old New Bedford estate together with some cantons.

9" diameter and 3" high. No chips hairlines or repairs. A tiny loss to enamel and some glass frits, not readily discernible. Very good condition.

10 by 9 inches; center about 7.3 by 6.1 inches. No chips hairlines or repairs. A little fritting on rim barely noticeable. Original enamels nice and thick.

This is a wonderful circa 1850 antique China Trade fan which shows a large gathering of 25 little figures on one side, and a bird and floral scene flanked by two smaller medallion painted scenes. Faces of the figures are of ivory, and in this fan, there are many individual expressions. The lacquered sticks are also painted in gold, and show further scenes of people with equally pains-taking detail. And of course the ends are very elaborately painted in gold...

A good sized antique Chinese export painting on pith paper. It is an opera scene of a universal form of corporal punishment meted out before an exceited general, probably peremptory military justice. Could be a scene from Three Kingdoms. Great colors. Double matted in a nice frame, shop tag from Wellesley Massachusetts.

Framed: 17 3/4" x 14" ; sight 12' x 7 1/4". Very good condition, one short line near top right corner, quite normal with the brittle pith paper...

This is a Chinese famille rose export bowl with an unusual ribbed shape. The colors are classic deep reddish pink typical of the Yongzhen 1700s period. No marks, a little burnt orange showing at rim. 5 3/8 inches across and stands 2 3/4 inches high. It is in good condition with no hairlines or chips, tiny roughness along rim not seen but felt. Early 1700s.

A lovely 19th century Chinese export lobed and footed tazza or fruit bowl in rose medallion palette. In addition to the figural courtyard scenes, we have some wonderfully lively birds painted in great detail. Enamel and gold leaf in good condition. No marks anywhere. Circa 1870.

14.6" x 12", a faint and tight crack barely visible. Otherwise in good condition.
