Diana Goddess Silver Openwork Serving Spoon
A fun Dutch silver (800 to sterling) reticulated serving spoon of unusual shape and wonderful figural decorations. At the top is the goddess Diana with her bow and a hound. Beneath that are 2 medallions of cupid or putti. They flank a lower head. Finally another cupid inside the bowl and straddling a lion or dog. The silversmith was busy! Continental marks as shown a lion facing right and old fancy Gothic letter code "B" for 1886. This lion is the Dutch silver standard hallmark, right facing and left paw raised, signifying 833 standard.

5.4" long and 2.5" wide. Very good condition no creases or dings.

A perfect summer (wedding) gift!
