A luxury book by the Japanese textiles expert Tomoyuki Yamanobe published 1972 by Hinoki in Japan. This book is mainly in Japanese, but each costome has both a Japanese and English description. There are a total of 50 full color tipped in plates with tissue separators. The facing pages show the costume in black and white together with the text for the costume. (This is a follow on to her smaller 1957 Tuttle book.)
About 16" x 12" x 1.7" cloth bound hardcover. Heavy rag paper throughout. Excellent color plates. No tears or missing pages, only a few light spots inside cover.
A beautiful book on those gorgeous kimono costumes.
