An antique lacy covered sugar made of flint glass almost surely by Sandwich Glass in the early 19th century. Arched panel patterns with 8 sides. Hexagonal finial. Nice deep hollow stem. Good ring. PICTURED in McKearin's American Glass, #9 of Plate 163.
5" high and 4 1/2" across. Very good condition for the bowl; 2 chips as shown on the cover. The lines you see are straw marks, not cracks. Good example of antique early American Pattern glass. PICTURED in McKearin's American Glass, #9 of Plate 163. |
