A pair of imperial Yongzheng (Yongzhen) mark and period blue and white lotus design wine cups. Repeating lotus scrolls all around on the outside and medallions on the inside. Example of the exquisite refined taste found in Yongzheng's reign, hardly ever in Kangxi or Qianlong. Thinly potted so as to be very translucent in the light. Hard glassy glaze over a light to medium blue.
2.5"D by 1.4"H. Fine condition no chips or hairlines or repairs. Slightly out of round from hand potting the very thin and small size clay. This pair was sold at Christies Hongkong March 1991. Another pair at Christies April 1997.
