Fine Jiaqing Daoguang period ruby red snuff bottle, Peking glass likely from imperial workshops. It is exquisite with panels on all 4 sides and each is dimpled or concave, a very desirable feature. Exceptionally delicate thin footrim not found on later bottles. Carnelian top and silver spoon.
2.5" high, 1.4" wide and 0.7" deep. Fine condition with no flakes chips or repairs. In the pictures, the lines are reflections, not problems on the bottle. Note 1. The dimpled side panels can be used for holding the snuff for use after being spooned out.
Note 2. Qing Dynasty time table |
