A Kangxi period blue and white jar with a later and very good carved wood cover having a serpentine jade plaque. The theme is the "3 friends of winter", pine, bamboo and plum blossom. Double circle on the bottom. Nice Kangxi blue. 17th century.
康熙 青 花 东 三 友 罐 带 老 木 调 盖. About 10" high. Fine condition with no cracks chips or repairs, a couple of rough spots along the rim not readily visible. 2nd picture of bottom detail shows shadows, not stain. Light coat of tobacco stain yellowish in color not fully washed off. Note 2: Partial Chinese Time Table important to ceramics:
