Incredible! Vintage Enameled Mechanical Pelican Pin

This is just Fabulous! Not signed but who cares! Reminds you of the Rare MB Boucher Pelican Doesn't it. The non-use of sterling silver would date this directly prior to WWII. c. 1938-1941. Depicting a Large Pelican Character brooch where His mouth opens revealing his soon to be eaten poor little fish in his mouth, and after that one is ate he has one dangling from his beak for second helpings, sometimes the food chain makes us sad, cuz those fish are Adorable! The pelican is very well made on a solid gold plated base metal foundation having Incredible dimension being enameled in yellow and egg shell white, then is accented with pave` white rhinestones for a Spectacular display. It is Rare & Wonderful, we Love it! Measures a Large 3 inches (Diagonally), 2.5 inches (north to south), and 2 inches (east to west). Condition... The yellow enamel work has been touched up at one time as you can see where there was chips to the original enamel work underneath and this was painted over (easy touch up if desired). Also there is two extremely minor chips to the white enamel work, one on his wing and one directly above the red rhinestone eye (again easy fix if desired). Although this is not signed, we have our suspicions this was made by the Chanel Novelty Co. but again it is unsigned. Regardless this is one Fabulous Brooch that is going to Draw so many compliments and lots of conversation because it is down right Awesome! Thanks George Evelyn & John @ Jivin Jewels
