Dutch delft strawberry or cress stand and under plate c.1750. The stand is approx 8 7/8 inches (22.5 cm)diameter and 2 1/4 inches (2.8 cm) tall. The plate is approx. 9 inches diameter (22.8 cm). Both pieces are marked on the underside with the initials, “LPK” for the DeLampetkan factory. The pieces have pie crust borders and are decorated in cobalt blue with roses and other flowers. The stand is pierced in a star pattern and stands on three fluted legs.

Condition: The stand has been broken into four pieces and re-glued It is not the best job and was done some time ago. There are remnants of the glue on the underside. There is fritting on the points of the edge. The underplate is in excellent condition with some fritting on the edge.

This form is not unusual, but it is not common to find both the stand and the under plate together.
