$150.00
This must be one of the largest Precolumbian tweezers (LLL250) ever made! Measuring 4 15/16” in length, and in overall very good condition (it still works) with some slight bends and a great patina, it was found in west Mexico in the mid-1900s. From the Langdon collection, the tweezers is probably Tarascan in origin dating c.1000-1500AD. Ordinarily, these are called depilators and were used for removing facial and body hair...

Because of the size of the collection, it will probably take a few months to get all of the single items and lots listed, but new pages can be viewed as soon as placement occurs if the viewer will simply type MAB into the search link on any of our pages...

This group of twelve (RDM 14, 30, 32-34, 38, 40, 50, 56, 57 and 59) represents the final listing for the Barney Mallonee collection, but it’s going out with a BANG! There are pieces from the Tiwanaku and Manteno horizons, as well as a few with unknown provenance, all very reasonably priced in a range from $75-$225, and ranging in condition that from 4 to 8 (on the 1-10 scale, with 10 being tops)...
