The items listed on this page (JEP.90 and .91), from the estate of Walt Lewin, probably date to the earlier 20th century. Beautifully made, they come without specific provenance. Decorative in nature and perhaps used in rituals or as medicine man trappings, detailed descriptions of each along with price can be found on the item photo. Note that lengths mentioned refer to the length of the stone blade (the handles will add an additional 4”-5” to the length given. The Inventory number for each knife is shown in brackets under its photo (JEP 90 or 91), followed by a detailed description and price. Select or ask any question by referring first to the Trocadero page number or item number, and then to our Inventory Number prefixed by JEP as shown on the photo with the knife of interest. Each comes with a biographical sketch about Lewin, and our certificate guaranteeing that the artifact is as described. NOTE: if you would like to view a large number of our various listings, and at the same time limit your browsing, try our ‘TWELVE different items on a single page format’ by simply spelling out the word TWELVE in the search box. That will quickly bring up all of our listings that have multiple items on one page, each individually priced! And if you want to further refine the group, add one or two additional modifiers at the same time such as ‘Indian, Precolumbian, Stone, Pot, Gold, etc.’ Any item that has been sold will be so noted on its photograph.
