This listing (MAB.288-291, 298, and MAB.299-302) contains many ancient iron arrow and spear points along with a bronze knife and a few bronze points illustrating a broad variety of style used in areas such as Luristan, Bulgaria, Spain, Greek Anatolia, and others. From the estate of the previously mentioned southwestern U.S. ancient arts dealer, iron relics as typically recovered from battlefields dating into the period never survive the effects of moisture and exposure, thus the abundance of rusted pieces in this group. Ranging in price from $35 to $375, they grade from 3 to 9, and size from 1 1/8” to 14”. There are a few lots where quantities can be purchased at a much reduced level. Each photo lists first the specific inventory number of the illustrated item in brackets followed by a brief description. If provenance is available in the dealer’s records, it is noted after the phrase “Owner-tagged”. Each piece comes with a small display card and a biographical sketch about the past owner. Select or ask any question by referring either to the Trocadero ITEM # or the STOCK # at the top of this page, and ALSO to the item’s INVENTORY NUMBER as shown in the brackets on its photo. NOTE: if you would like to view a large number of our various listings, and limit your browsing time, try our ‘TWELVE different items on a single page format’ by simply spelling out the word TWELVE in the search box. That will quickly bring up all of our listings that offer up to twelve individually priced items on a single page! And if you want to further refine the group, add one or two additional modifiers at the same time such as ‘Indian, Precolumbian, Stone, Pot, Gold, etc.’ Any item that has been sold will be so noted on its own photograph.
