Long popular in Denver for its unique styling and craftsmanship, Syman-stamped jewelry is now eagerly sought also by many collectors throughout the country. This 14K yellow gold custom ring (MAJP2), with Syman stamp, features a mysterious, 14mm tall, Asian-like seated image bounded on three sides by dark blue sapphires (note that they show much brighter and translucent in the photo due to back lighting). The largest sapphire, below the folded legs of the figure, is a 5mm x 7mm oval weighing about .60 carats. The two pears, one on each side of the head of the figure, have a total weight of about .25 carats with each measuring 3mm x 5mm. An older 20th century pre-owned ring, some of the facet edges on the sapphires show light abrading that is noticeable only under magnification. Wearable and in overall very good condition, the unusual and striking ring measures 7 ½ on a jeweler’s ring mandrel.
