|The twelve Spanish Colonial silver cob coins in this group (97.54AHD, 97.54BHD, 97.55AHD, 98.5DHD, 98.5EHD, 100.63UHD, 100.63VHD, 100.63AEHD, 100.63AMHD, 100.63AQHD, 100.63BiHD, and 100.63BJHD) include six that were drilled on two edges for attachment to a 20th century belt (noted in the photos as having ‘New Holes’), and six that were drilled in Colonial times for either wear as a pendant or for securing them with thread to an article of clothing to prevent the coins from being lost (noted in the photos as having ‘Old Holes’). The various coins are from the reigns of Charles I, Charles II, Charles III, Ferdinand VI, Philip II, Philip IV, and Philip V dating somewhere in the years from 1621 to 1760. Included are coins minted in Guatemala, Bolivia (Potosi), and Peru (Lima). The coins have all undergone more or less circulation, the amount of wear evident in each of the photos. Each photo is marked with first the coin's Inventory Number in brackets and then the coin type, followed by the ruler and dates, a description of the images on the obverse and reverse sides, any additional comments, and finally the price. A millimeter scale is located at the top of each photo. Select or ask any question by first referring to the Trocadero Number on this page, and then the inventory number shown on the given photograph. Any that have been sold will be so-marked on the appropriate photo. Each coin comes with our certificate guaranteeing authenticity.
