|All of the beads and pendants in this group of twelve (LLL729, 731R1N1, 754A, 840B, 841A, 924, 931A, 963, 1141, 1207A, 1208C, and 1209A) were found in West Mexico in the mid-20th century by the late Lynn Langdon. Included in the group are beads and spindle whorls of various sizes, shapes, and decor made of stone, ceramic and shell. Condition ranges from fairly good to excellent. The various strands, all put together by Langdon, were mostly assembled from individual finds made in the states of Colima, Nayarit and Jalisco. A few were assembled from finds made at one location and these are usually obvious by the sameness of the beads in that group. All are dated variously into the broad period c.300BC-1000AD. Each photo, with a standard ruler shown for scale, contains an individually priced group or piece. Our inventory number appears first in brackets followed usually by the number of beads and type of material. If there’s a number at the end of that line, it represents a grade between 1-10 with 10 being the highest. Then comes a brief description on shape, decoration and sometimes material. Next is either a grade range for the illustrated group, or a brief statement concerning condition. A note about the number of obviously chipped beads in that group may be included here, and finally the price is listed at the bottom. Select or ask any question by referring first to the Trocadero Item Number on this page, and then to our Inventory Number shown on the given photograph. Each photo group or item comes with a small display card, a biographical sketch about Langdon and his collection, a map of west Mexico with the area where the items were found highlighted, and our certificate guaranteeing authenticity. NOTE: if you would like to view a large number of our various listings, and at the same time limit your browsing, try our ‘TWELVE different items on a single page format’ by simply spelling out the word TWELVE in the search box. That will quickly bring up all of our listings that have twelve different items on a page, each individually priced!|
