|This group of twelve (99.123, 125 & 126HD; 99.132B,C,D,J & KHD; 100.50HD; 101.6 and 7HD) contains gold coins from the ancient Roman Empire, the Kushan Kidarite Confederacy, and the Byzantine Empire. Represented are the rulers Honorius, Theodosius II, Leo, Zeno, Kipunadha and Kidara. The Kushan Kidarite coins were all sent to the American Numismatic Association for authentication. Four came back with certs, and though the fifth one did not, the ANA stated that it was probably genuine, but due to acidizing and slight filing, the original surface could not be seen. All of the coins except the one so noted as ‘probably’ by the ANA are fully guaranteed. Each comes in its own holder, and either an ANA certificate or our guarantee of authenticity as noted previously. Each photo contains a millimeter scale, and is annotated with first the inventory number of the pictured coin, a brief description followed by the ruler’s name and dates that he reigned, the mint when known, description of the images on the front and back of the coin, the ANA cert number when applicable, and finally the price. Select or ask any question by referring first to the Trocadero Item Number on this page, and then to our Inventory Number shown on the given photograph. NOTE: if you would like to view a large number of our various listings, and at the same time limit your browsing, try our ‘TWELVE different items on a single page format’ by simply spelling out the word TWELVE in the search box. That will quickly bring up all of our listings that have twelve different items on a page, each individually priced! And if you want to further refine the search, add one or two additional modifiers at the same time such as ‘Indian, Precolumbian, Stone, Pot, Gold, etc.’ Any item that has been sold will be so noted on its photograph.|
