|The twelve individually priced Byzantine bronze coins in this group (100.73D, i, J and K HD; 100.90B, C, D, F, G, i and P HD; and 100.105BHD) are from the reigns of Basil I, Justin ii, Leo VI, and Romanus I and date during the period c.565AD-920AD. Included are a number of coins of an unidentified type from the Cherson mint in the Crimea of the Ukraine, and a few folles from the Constantinople mint in modern Turkey. Inexpensively priced from $40-$55, each coin is shown in both obverse and reverse views. The coins have obviously been circulated and buried, and the condition of each is well reflected in its photo images. A millimeter scale is shown on the left side of each photo for size estimate. Each photo shows first our inventory number in brackets followed by the coin type. Next is shown the ruler’s name, the dates of reign, the image on the obverse side, the image on the reverse side, and reference to mintage when known. The last entry is the price. Select or ask any question by referring first to the Trocadero Item Number on this page, and then to our Inventory Number shown on the given photograph. Each coin comes with our certificate guaranteeing authenticity. NOTE: if you would like to view a large number of our various listings, and at the same time limit your browsing, try our ‘TWELVE different items on a single page format’ by simply spelling out the word TWELVE in the search box. That will quickly bring up all of our listings that have twelve different items on a page, each individually priced! And if you want to further refine the group, add one or two additional modifiers at the same time such as ‘Indian, Precolumbian, Stone, Pot, Gold, etc.’ Any item that has been sold will be so noted on its photograph.|
