Started at $1200.00, then reduced to $780, and now it's time to make an offer. Any will be seriously considered!!

THE LAST THREE ITEMS FROM THE PBF CONSIGNMENT (PBF201, PBF204 & PBF212), IF PURCHASED INDIVIDUALLY AT THEIR LISTED PRICES, WOULD TOTAL $1660. WHEN FIRST LISTED, THE TOTAL FOR THE THREE WAS $2550!! NOW, IF THEY ARE PURCHASED AS A GROUP, THE PRICE IS ONLY $895.00. This unusual and attractively styled necklace (PBF204) is made up of a mixture of larger, slightly graduated, cream-colored Pre-Columbian stone beads each of which has the general appearance of the truncated top of an ice cream cone (i.e., 2/3 of the lower part of the cone is missing), separated by small disk-shaped spacer beads of the same material. From the center of the necklace is suspended a 15/16” long, tapered and pointed transparent to slightly milky quartz pendant that was likely believed to imbue seminal, life-giving qualities. Attributed to the later Calima period of Colombia, dating c.800-1500AD, the beveled and tapered oddly shaped beads permit an easy adjacency that unexpectedly produce a relatively smooth string. Under magnification, the larger beads particularly exhibit a layering and sometimes orbicular nature that point to their possible but questioned origin as being petrified bone. A simple yet eye-catching necklace closed with a contemporary 18K gold clasp, it comes with a descriptive card, a map of Colombia high-lighting the Calima area, and our certificate guaranteeing authenticity. Select or ask any question by referring either to the Trocadero Item Number at the top of this page, or to the Inventory Number shown in parentheses in the first sentence of this write-up. NOTE: if you would like to view a large number of our various listings, and at the same time limit your browsing time, try our ‘TWELVE different items on a single page format’ by simply spelling out the word TWELVE in the search box. That will quickly bring up all of our listings that have twelve different items on a page, each individually priced! And if you want to further refine the group, add one or two additional modifiers at the same time such as ‘Indian, Precolumbian, Stone, Pot, Gold, etc.’ Any item that has been sold will be so noted on its photograph.
